A ghostwriting agency writes your posts. We also build the audience.

You've posted for months and the likes come from people who will never buy. The real choice is whether you pay for better posts, or for the posts plus the work of getting your buyers to see them.

Short answer

LinkedIn ghostwriting agencies write and often publish your posts. Published plans run from $697 a month at Cleverly to $8,500 a month at Sculpt. ExpertGen writes the posts too, then sends 600 connection requests a month to get your buyers into that network, and messages the ones who react. Pick an agency if your buyers are already in your network. Pick ExpertGen if they aren't.

What ghostwriting agencies are

A ghostwriting agency writes your LinkedIn posts. You sit for an interview or a call, a writer turns your ideas into drafts, you approve them, and in many plans the agency publishes them for you. Some also rewrite your profile and coach you on what to say in comments.

Some publish a price and some don't. On the pages we loaded in September 2026, Cleverly lists one content plan at $697 a month with 12 posts, a network growth campaign and automatic posting. Talkbox is $2,500 a month for 6 to 10 posts and four interviews, and your team publishes them. The agency storyarb lists three tiers starting at $4,999 a month with a dedicated team of three. Sculpt says organic social packages start at $8,500 a month. Influent's own cost guide puts a full program for one executive at $12,000 to $20,000 a month before ad spend.

Windmill Growth, an agency that publishes a cost guide for this market, puts the range at $500 to $10,000 a month. Every plan we loaded sits inside that range except Influent, which sits above it. In all of them the posts are the product you're buying.

What ghostwriting agencies do well

Writing is hard, and most founders don't have the hour. A good ghostwriter takes 45 minutes of you talking and turns it into posts that sound like you said them. That's a real craft. Talkbox builds the whole service around interviews with a journalist, and four of those interviews are in its $2,500 plan. Cleverly runs ongoing interviews and a content calendar for $697 a month.

They also fix the habit problem. A writer, a calendar and automatic posting take the decision out of your week, and that weekly decision is where most posting habits die. If your buyers already follow you, which happens when you've sold into one market for ten years, good posts alone can be enough. In that case an agency is the cheaper answer and you should take it.

Where ghostwriting agencies stop

A LinkedIn post goes out to the people who already follow you. If your buyers aren't in that group, better writing still doesn't reach them. That leaves a few jobs sitting on your desk.

What ExpertGen does instead

ExpertGen is a LinkedIn scaling agency in Portland, Oregon. We start from one plain idea. People reply to names they already know, so the first job is the network and not the post. First we build your LinkedIn network out of your exact buyers, picked by title, company size and industry, and you approve that list before anything sends. Then 600 connection requests a month go out from your own profile, which works out to 20 a day, so the name your buyer sees is yours.

Then we write the posts. Twelve a month, in your voice, published on your profile. The words come from you. It starts with one 45 minute call, then you send us a 10 minute voice memo each week and we turn it into that week's posts. That's our answer to the most common complaint about LinkedIn ghostwriting, which is that it sounds like a machine. Setup also includes a rewrite of your profile so it reads for buyers. From week 3, every buyer who accepts your request or reacts to a post gets a short message in your voice, and we send three at most. Then we book calls with the ones who reply, straight onto your calendar. Every week you get a scoreboard: buyers added, buyers reacting, messages sent, replies, calls.

Across the campaigns we've run, messages to a sender's own first degree network of buyers got 11 to 28 replies per 100. The same kind of message to strangers got about 1 reply per 100. The people have to be right and they have to know you.

This only works for companies that sell to other businesses whose buyers are on LinkedIn, and it takes weeks instead of days. It needs 10 minutes of your voice every week. If you need calls booked by Friday, this is the wrong tool. More connections doesn't mean more reach either, because the feed decides what gets shown, so the scoreboard counts buyers reacting instead of connection counts or impressions. We don't promise you a number of leads or calls. You see the real numbers every week and you can judge them yourself.

Who should pick which

Pick a ghostwriting agency if

  • Your buyers already follow you and you only need the writing done.
  • You want a set number of posts a month at a published price you can compare.
  • You have someone in house who sends the invites and answers the messages.

Pick ExpertGen if

  • Your buyers aren't in your network yet, so the posts land on the wrong people.
  • You want the posts and the connection requests to be one job run by one person.
  • You can give 10 minutes of voice a week and wait a few weeks for it to work.

What it costs, side by side

On the pages we loaded, published plans run from $697 a month at Cleverly to $8,500 a month at Sculpt, with Talkbox at $2,500 and storyarb starting at $4,999. Influent's own guide puts a full single executive program at $12,000 to $20,000 a month before ad spend. In most of these plans the writing is the product. If nobody in your network is a buyer, that gap still costs you somewhere else, whether it's a tool, an assistant or your own evenings spent sending connection requests.

ExpertGen is one flat plan, and the first block is 90 days, paid up front, because a network takes weeks to warm and the messages don't start until week 3. We give you the price on the first call. That one plan covers the buyer list you approve, the profile rewrite, the 12 posts a month, the 600 connection requests, the messages to the people who react, and the weekly scoreboard.

Questions people ask about this

No, it's more than the writing. We write and publish 12 posts a month in your voice, so that part looks the same. We also send 600 connection requests a month to your buyers and message the ones who accept or react. A ghostwriting plan usually stops at the posts.
You can, but two writers working one voice gets messy. If you like your writer, keep them on the posts and talk to us about the network work on its own. We'll tell you on the first call whether that split is worth it for you.
Twelve, written in your voice and published on your profile. They come from one 45 minute call at the start and one 10 minute voice memo each week. Cleverly lists 12 posts a month too, at $697, so compare what happens around the posts instead of counting them.
That's what the weekly memo is for. You talk for 10 minutes and we write that week's posts out of your own words. The most common complaint about LinkedIn ghostwriting is that it reads like AI wrote it, and your voice on tape is the fix we use.
Weeks, not days. Messages don't start until week 3, so the first block is 90 days. Other agencies say the same kind of thing. Windmill Growth's cost guide says plan for at least three months, and Influent's guide says compounding shows around month six.
